Running away from the world, just for a little bit. I love the idea of going out to wherever's just over the horizon, whether that's the sea or whether it's hiding in the hills and glens.
We walked along the path to no particular point of interest, and then turned around and walked back again. If you tell someone that, it sounds a little weird, but when you’re doing it it seems like the most natural thing in the world.
Whenever I’m feeling a little stressed and overwhelmed, I know I need to take a walk. Sadly, it can’t always be a walk in the middle of nowhere, but I find a quiet walk for myself of even just 10 minutes, can work wonders for where my head’s at. Giving myself the time for a slow walk, allowing myself to listen to my footsteps - grounds me back in reality. I suddenly remember where I am, and that it’s all just life and air.
