Winter gives us some beautiful skies, but most of the time I want to just curl up in my bed...
Although I love walking under the stars on clear nights, most of the time winter is a bit crap. Going outside is a bit crap. It’s cold, damp, and stupidly windy. The lack of light is appalling.
Reasons why this winter didn’t suck so much:
- Vitamin D tablets;
- Our new wood burning stove. Which, as it happened, was our only source of heat for two months after our boiler broke;
- And knowing that I was doing something to actively change my life. Daring to name my ambitions. Taking those first tiny steps towards realising a vision I’ve held in the back of my mind for too long.
So here’s to working towards your goals, whatever they may be, and however long it takes. You’re heading in the right direction, and that’s what counts. It’ll see you through winter.
